I was still on Probation for OUI-1st in Salem when I was arrested for OUI 2nd Offense in Ipswich and registered an over limit .28. My Salem Probation Officer issued a Warrant for my arrest and asked that I be placed into custody when I got to Newburyport.  The DA in Newburyport was asking for jail also.  Joe managed to talk the judge out of having me taken into custody AND of sending me to jail for my 2nd offense.  Instead, the Judge actually released me into Joe's custody. Then when we went to Salem later that day, my Probation officer was asking for a one year jail sentence on my first offense. Joe convinced the Salem Judge not to do so and I went home that night instead of to jail. Joe is the most intimidating and confident lawyer I have ever encountered and I was blessed to have him on my side. 

I called and spoke to 3 DWI Lawyers recommended by the Massachusetts Bar Lawyer Referral Service and didn’t like any of them. I then called 2 additional lawyers I found on the internet and didn’t like them either. They all seemed incompetent or interested only in how fast I could send them money. I eventually realized that I needed to hire somebody that specializes in OUI cases. The problem was I live in LA, and there was no one I knew in MA to call to ask for references. There was a Warrant out in Massachusetts for my arrest based on an old OUI. It finally caught up to me and NH suspended my driver’s license. I called Joe at 8 am on Monday and he answered the phone himself. Somehow he managed to locate the old paperwork and then had the case heard Tuesday. After he convinced the young DA they couldn’t prove it, they dismissed all three charges. I had my license back by two pm just a little over 24 hours after I called him. I’d recommend him to anybody.

This is the actual email I sent Joe after the cops in my town continued to harass me trying to arrest me at my home even after the case was settled and my default warrant was cancelled. Banging on my door at 12:30 in the morning waking my wife and myself afraid to go to the door for fear of being arrested again wrongfully. The next day I called Joe and told him my worries, and asked what to do. Within 1 hour he had called the police Chiefs in my town, and neighboring town, and informed both that my warrant was cancelled, and then he got the warrant cancellation notice from the court and faxed it to both police departments and to me to keep in my wallet.
